Gena Custode is a senior leader with over 15 years of experience supporting technology, innovation, and high-growth Canadian companies. She currently serves as Managing Director, Growth at Scotiabank’s Technology and Innovation Banking group at Roynat Capital, where she leads the national venture and growth team. In this role, Gena builds deep relationships with venture capital firms, private equity investors, and the broader innovation ecosystem, providing high-growth technology companies across Canada with non-dilutive growth capital to scale.
Prior to joining Scotiabank, Gena was Vice President, Credit Solutions at Silicon Valley Bank Canada, where she supported early-stage technology companies with venture debt and growth capital. Her career also includes experience in artificial intelligence through her work with MindBridge AI. Gena is a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CA) and began her career at KPMG LLP.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and is a proud mother of two, a perspective that shapes her people centered leadership style and her commitment to building resilient teams and communities.
