I advise shareholders and private equity groups on M&A and fundraising in tech and tech enabled sectors.
In my free time, I like new and favourite foods, travel, anything active – skiing, ice hockey, hiking (West Coast Trail), running (4x marathons), and spending time with my young family. Some of my favourite books are: Insisting On The Impossible, which recounts the invention of the Polaroid camera and its commercial application, the LBJ books by Robert Caro (or any other great biography), and Prisoners of Geography, about geopolitics.
Words to live by: “Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up, it knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn’t matter whether you’re the lion or a gazelle – when the sun comes up, you’d better be running.” – Christopher McDougall.
