Steve McEwan is the co-founder of myHSA, a Canadian benefits technology company he helped build and scale before its acquisition by People Corporation in early 2024.
Steve’s career has spanned financial services, employee benefits, technology, entrepreneurship, and strategy. Before launching myHSA in 2013, he worked as an Employee Benefits Consultant at BKI Financial, helping manage and grow the firm’s group benefits, individual insurance, and retirement businesses.
Following the acquisition of myHSA, Steve has remained with People Corporation and moved into a broader corporate leadership role. In addition to continuing his involvement with myHSA, he contributes to enterprise strategic planning and technology roadmap development, is leading one of the largest technology implementations in the company, and has taken on leadership responsibilities within People Corporation’s Third Party Administration business.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Management in Finance from the University of Lethbridge and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), with fellowship status since 2016.
