Ken is a Corporate Partner and a Member of Dentons’ Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies group. Ken counsels companies of various sizes, from pre-seed to publicly traded, on an array of issues, including M&A, commercial contracting, corporate governance and financing, privacy and cybersecurity.
Ken also advises various other stakeholders in the emerging company ecosystem such as growth and private equity firms, strategic partners and investors.
Before joining Dentons, Ken was General Counsel for Q4 Inc., where he led them through an IPO in 2021 (TSX:QFOR) followed by a take private in February of 2024 to Sumeru Equity Partners. Ken also served as General Counsel for NexJ Systems (TSXV:NXJ), where he led the spinoff of the NexJ Health business unit amongst other major transactions.
Prior to his time as a General Counsel, Ken worked in private practice in New York with Fitzpatrick Cella Harper & Scinto (now Venable LLP) and Foley & Lardner LLP, where he represented clients in the technology, pharmaceutical and life sciences industries on matters related to intellectual property, M&A, licensing and dispute resolution.
