Mitch Robinson is an experienced business leader with a track record of creating growth… in revenue, profit and people. He has over 30 years of professional experience in corporate strategy, go-to-market execution, mergers & acquisitions, emerging markets and financial risk management.
Currently, Mitch is the Managing Partner at Sampford Advisors, Canada’s leading tech M&A Advisory firm. Mitch’s primary focus at Sampford is client relationship management, firm strategy and positioning, advising on complex negotiations and new client acquisition. Prior to joining Sampford a little over a year ago, Mitch was the President, CEO & Board member at Shoebox Ltd, a privately-held, developer of medical device software, where he led the company to over 45% average annual revenue growth for 4 years. Prior to that, he was the President of Titus Inc., a market leader in data identification and data security, where after 5 years of 35%+ average annual growth, the company was sold to Blackstone Inc. in 2017.
Previously, Mitch has held executive roles with IBM, Cognos and Cap Gemini/EY, with highlights including negotiating and closing 16 acquisitions, worth over $800M in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific, leading the $5B sale of Cognos to IBM in 2008, and leading the OpenPages Governance, Risk & Compliance business to average annual revenue growth of 70% over 2 years.
Mitch holds a Bachelor of Math and Computer Science from St. Francis Xavier University; he is a CPA/CA and currently sits on the Board of Directors of MASV Software.
