Zafer Qureshi is a Toronto-based investor and operator working across public and private markets. He is Principal at Alam Group, a family office that invests patient, sector-agnostic capital in technology, private equity, real estate, and healthcare, with a focus on downside protection and alignment with operating teams over multiple market cycles.
Qureshi also served as CEO and Executive Director of Banxa Holdings, a publicly listed global fintech company building embedded payments infrastructure leveraging blockchain, where he led the successful turnaround and exit.
He previously worked in various roles at RBC, across M&A investment banking, ventures, and strategy. Qureshi holds an MBA from Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from McMaster University.
